We are a community based nonprofit, tax-exempt 501(c) (3) organization, governed by a nine (9) person Board of Directors. To ensure that the needs of the low-income community are always a top priority, NFEDC by-laws require that fifty percent (50%) of its board is low-income community residents.

NFEDC has worked since 1987 to provide a coordinate education programs, job training and job development opportunities, leadership development training, hunger relief and prevention programs, affordable housing projects, business development opportunities, and community development initiatives for low-income families in Gadsden County, Florida.




To empower individuals and families in Gadsden County to become more self-determined, self-sufficient, and self-sustaining, to develop mechanisms for direct involvement of all citizens; and create a climate in which the community is able to develop cooperative solutions to individual and community problems.
